Each movie can be downloaded by clicking on the link in the first column. The best method of viewing the last 7 movies is to load it into Quicktime and view it frame by frame using the arrow keys.

Coupled Oscillating particles. Masses are connected with springs.  Strength of springs, size of masses, distance between masses  and type of pulses are examined.

plast_and_metal_slinkys.mpg

Using a plastic slinky connected to a metal slinky shows reflection and transmission at higher to lower and lower to higher density boundaries. Also shows two pulses where reflected and incident superpose.

Two pulses are sent down a slinky on opposite sides to demonstrate destructive interference.
